NRA Range Safety Officer

This course teaches the basic duties a Range Safety Officer (RSO) performs. Those duties include but not limited to:

• the role of a Range Safety Officer
• Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs)
• Safety briefings while on the range
• Range Inspections
• Range Rules
• Efficient/effective emergency procedure execution while on the range
• clearing firearms
  • stoppages
  • malfunctions

As with any other firearms related training, the role of an RSO is a diminishing skill. Therefore the best way to hone this skillset is to stay in practice and possibly leveraging the tutelage of a skilled Chief Range Safety Officer (CRSO). There is a tremendous benefit to partnerinig with a skilled CRSO and highly encouraged!
